I’m Adison Richards, candidate for State Rep., and I’m running to ensure we have an effective Representative that can deliver common sense solutions to homelessness, rising costs, public safety, protecting reproductive freedom, and creating opportunity for all.
So many people are struggling with rising costs, especially in housing, whether it is keeping up with rent or the mortgage. As a lawyer working in housing law, I directly see how housing costs impact so many people, I see how folks become and stay homeless, and I have ideas to address it.
Having actively served crime victims for much of my legal career, I have a deep understanding of our public safety challenges and we have to do better. I have advocated in court to protect survivors of domestic violence and trafficking. I promise to advocate for you in Olympia to create public safety for all.
We live in a district that is constantly overlooked and our Representatives have not done enough. Our gas prices go up, our ferry service goes down, and our traffic problems aren’t getting any better.
We need more opportunities for our students to enter the trades and gain apprenticeships, which will create more pathways to good paying jobs and economic success.
Reproductive freedom is under attack across the country and Republicans in our state want to take these rights away. We also need a state rep who will support the Constitution over allegiance to party or one man.
We have a long journey ahead, but we can solve the challenges we face. I hope to earn your support and that you join us on the campaign trail!
Tiffiny Mitchell is running for state representative in LD 26, Position 2 to protect women’s reproductive healthcare, support education, and lower housing/medical costs. She’s a long-time public servant, including as a former Oregon state representative.
