We have endorsed Kim-Khanh Van, currently a Renton City Councilmember, in all her previous races and are proud to do so again. She’s stood with us, especially at Valley Medical Center, whenever we’ve needed public support. We want Kim-Khanh on King County Council!

I have deep roots in South King County and a genuine care for all the communities that make it vibrant. I live in a multigenerational family with my two kids, husband, and mother in beautiful Renton. For the past six years, I have proudly served on the Renton City Council, guiding us through challenging times, including the first Trump administration, the pandemic, and our ongoing economic recovery.

My journey has taught me the importance of resilience and community support. With over 20 years of diverse professional experience, I bring a unique perspective to my role as a leader. I listen to all voices, advocating for BIPOC, veterans, seniors, youth, LGBTQ+ and vulnerable communities, small businesses, working families with kids, immigrants and refugees, and those with learning differences. 

Through my work as an attorney, city council-member and community advocate, I’ve worked to create a future rooted in safety and healthy communities, opportunity for all, and transparency and co-governance centering community. I look forward to serving on King County Council and continuing this important work, ensuring that King County thrives for all its residents.
